Pharmacy Floor Technician

Contract-to-Hire | 40 Hours/Week

We are seeking a Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This role is responsible for accurately picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week — five 8-hour shifts
• Monday–Friday: 12:00 PM–8:30 PM
• Saturday–Sunday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Includes 2–3 weekends per month
• Overtime, holidays, and additional weekend hours may be required
  Rate: $20/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately fill and process daily medication orders under pharmacist supervision
• Pick medications from shelves and designated storage areas
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy
• Package medications and materials for dispensing
• Prepack frequently ordered medications as needed
• Process returned medications according to department procedures
• Maintain workstations and replenish pharmacy supplies
• Report scanning or product issues to the pharmacist
• Follow HIPAA, safety, attendance, and departmental policies

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active, clear Texas Pharmacy Technician License
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to work efficiently at a moderate pace
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive hand/finger movements throughout the workday. May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. and work extended hours as needed.
